Roadside parks to close for new building installation
ISHPEMING — The Michigan Department of Transportation announced on Thursday that several roadside parks in the Upper Peninsula will be temporarily closed for new toilet building installation.
Each park is expected to be closed for about two weeks for installation.
The parks and their beginning closure dates are listed here:
• Lake Superior Roadside Park along M-28 in Marquette County will be closed the morning of Aug. 4.
• Leif Erickson Roadside Park along M-95 in Marquette County will be closed the morning of Aug. 6.
• Baraga Cliff Roadside Park along US-41 in Baraga County will be closed the morning of Aug. 6.
• Larson Roadside Park along US-2 in Iron County will be closed the morning of Aug. 13.
• Alpha Roadside Park along US-2/US-141 in Iron County will be closed the morning of Aug. 13.
