MARQUETTE — Summer may still be in full swing, but soon the cooler temperatures and changing leaves will usher in another picturesque fall on Mackinac Island.

Voting has opened, and Mackinac Island is currently in the running for the best fall travel destination in USA Today’s 10 Best.

Last year, the island ranked second, with a third place finish in 2023. However, Mackinac Island has claimed the top summer travel destination the last three years.
