MARQUETTE — Due to ongoing construction near Father Marquette Park for the new Arts and Culture Center, several engraved bricks from a past Marquette Downtown Development Authority fundraising effort have been removed.

According to a press release, these bricks are currently available for pickup at the Marquette Commons, on the west end of the plaza. Pickup times will be during daytime hours from Aug. 3-15, with the exception of the Farmers Market on August 9.

The DDA asks that members of the public only take bricks that belonged to them or their loved ones. They are unable to hold or reserve bricks for any reason.
