MUNISING — The Alger County Sheriff’s Office is actively investigating a missing person case involving a local woman who was reportedly last seen at her residence late Friday evening, August 15.

The missing woman has been identified as 65-year-old Starla Goings from Munising. She is a white female, about 5’4″ tall and weighing approximately 160 pounds. She has short white hair and brown eyes.

“ACSO deputies were notified at approximately 6:30 p.m. Sunday after the woman’s family reported her missing,” Alger County Sheriff Sheriff Todd Brock said in a written statement. “Since then, efforts have been ongoing to locate her and ensure her well-being.”

There is no known clothing description for her currently. It is unclear whether she had an intended destination, how she may be traveling, or other circumstances surrounding her disappearance.
