ISHPEMING — The Marquette County Suicide Prevention Alliance and several other community organizations, businesses and area residents will be walking on Saturday, Sept. 6 for the annual Marquette County Walk for Hope to benefit local suicide prevention and postvention programming in Marquette County. The event will be held in person in Ishpeming at Al Quaal Recreation Area.

The walk committee urges all area residents to attend to honor the spirit of the event and recognize suicide prevention, suicide loss survivors, attempt survivors and family and loved ones of those who struggle.

In-person registration for the event begins at 10 a.m. Speakers and introduction starts at 10:30 a.m. with the walk estimated to begin by 11 a.m. Leashed dogs are welcome, and light refreshments will be available.
