ISHPEMING — Beginning today, construction crews will commence pavement stripping on Third Street in Ishpeming, starting near the old Oasis gas station, as part of the city’s ongoing water improvement project.

Third Street will be closed to through traffic during the construction process. Local access will be maintained for residents and emergency services.

Drivers are urged to use Lakeshore Drive as an alternate route to avoid traffic delays and congestion in the construction zone.
