Police seek public’s help in locating missing teen

MARQUETTE — The Michigan State Police Negaunee post is requesting the public’s help in locating a juvenile who is considered voluntarily missing.

Jayden Whittenburg, 15, had reportedly snuck out of his foster residence on Pohjala Road in Rock River Township during the early morning hours on Monday. He is believed to be trying to get to a home on Marquette Street in Ishpeming but has not been located yet.

Jayden is a black male, about 5’9″ weighing approximately 160 pounds. He has black hair, brown eyes, and a medium to dark skin complexion. Jayden currently has a medium-length afro style haircut. There is currently no known clothing description for him.

Jayden may possibly be accompanied by an Irish Wolfhound dog. At this time, there are no known physical dangers to the juvenile or risks to the public, and no indication of foul play. However, the MSP is working to locate him and verify his well being.
