ESCANABA — The Escanaba Department of Public Safety responded to a structure fire on Sunday morning, with the fire remaining under investigation.

At approximately 1:48 a.m., officers responded to a fire at 2853 16.5 Road and found the two-story structure fully engulfed. Firefighters were on the scene for four and a half hours. There were no reporters of injury, and the home was unoccupied at the time of the fire. The structure is considered a total loss.
