ISHPEMING — It’s almost time to Buzz the Gut.
The 23rd annual Buzz the Gut car show and parade is set for Saturday, Aug. 9. “Show and Shine” will be at the Cliffs Shaft Mining Museum parking lot from 4-7 p.m., where food will be served by the Ishpeming VFW.
The vehicles will then cruise through Ishpeming and Negaunee, coming back to the Ishpeming Elks Lodge for a dance, food and refreshments, and music by Swampberry Moonshine.
“This event is so special with the cruise, around 200 cars going through Ishpeming and Negaunee is really something,” said Scott Perry, president of Buzz the Gut, Inc. “The people love it. The spectators are wonderful and it gives us a good feeling just doing it.
“We don’t turn anyone away. We’ve had wreckers, army trucks, motorcycles, you name it. Everyone and everything is welcome so you never know what you’re going to see.”
For more information about the event, visit the event page on Facebook or call Perry at 906-485-1234. The event is free to attend and open to the public.
