Rollover crash on 550 brings emergency crews to scene

MARQUETTE — A single vehicle rollover crash on Marquette County Road 550 caused the response of more than five local emergency crews.
The crash occurred on Friday afternoon, less than 2 miles south of Phil’s 550 Store. Traffic heading north towards Big Bay was slowed. The single vehicle involved, a silver Ram pickup truck, flipped onto some rocks and had to be towed out by two vehicles.
It is unknown if anyone was injured and the cause of the crash is still under investigation.
The Michigan State Police, the Marquette County Sheriff’s Office, the Marquette City Police, Northern Michigan University Public Safety, Marquette Township Fire and the Upper Peninsula Health System EMS responded to the scene, according to MSP officer at the scene of the crash.
The vehicle was pulled out by Mickey’s Marquette Detailing and Performance around 4:15 p.m. and traffic resumed as normal thereafter.
