Negaunee VFW to host Memorial Day festivities
NEGAUNEE — The Negaunee VFW Post 3165 and Auxiliary is inviting the public to its annual Memorial Day parade, memorial services and cookout.
The parade will start at 10 a.m. Monday at the corner of Iron and Gold streets, continuing east on Iron Street to Pioneer Avenue, where it will then head north onto Main Street and continue east to McKenzie Avenue. The parade will then head north to Case Street and end at the corner of Jackson and Case streets.
Following the parade, memorial services will be held at the Negaunee Cemetery, located at 915 County Road 492. Another memorial service will be held in succession at the Northland Chapel Gardens and its 239 Midway Drive location. After the parade and services, there will be a cookout at the VFW Post 3165 and Auxiliary which is at 208 Gold Street.
Food for the cookout will be complimentary and donations are welcome.
