IRON MOUNTAIN — The Oscar G. Johnson VA Medical Center is now accepting nominations for its Hall of Heroes, a new facility program that recognizes veterans who have exhibited exemplary courage in battle or have made outstanding contributions to their communities or professions.
Inductees will be honored on the Hall of Heroes wall at OGJVAMC. Nominees recognized will be local military veterans who have received or are currently receiving care or services within the Iron Mountain VA Medical Center or one of its community-based outpatient clinics. Veterans may be alive or deceased, and nominations will be collected throughout the year via mail. Anyone can nominate a veteran, including themselves, and inductions will occur once each year near Veterans Day on November 11.
“We are thrilled to announce the establishment of our Hall of Heroes, a heartfelt tribute to extraordinary veterans whose remarkable military service or enduring community contributions inspire us all. This annual recognition celebrates their courage, sacrifice, and unwavering commitment to making a difference during service and at home,” said Pam Dubrow, OGJVAMC’s Veteran Experience Officer, in a press release.
To nominate a veteran or yourself, please complete the Hall of Heroes application and mail it to the Veteran Experience Officer at the following address:
