Missing downstate man found deceased
ST. IGNACE — Michigan State Police from the St. Ignace post have announced the discovery of a deceased individual who had been previously reported missing.
On Thursday at approximately 6:45 p.m., St. Ignace troopers responded to a report that a 59-year-old man from downstate Westland had walked away from a residence he had been staying at in Brevort Township, and he was now missing.
The subject had been reportedly suffering from dementia.
Despite extensive search efforts, the subject was later found deceased on Friday. The cause of death is currently under investigation, but there is no indication of foul play at this time, police said.
