Ishpeming man arrested on larceny charges

ISHPEMING — Arrest warrants for an Ishpeming resident suspected of larceny were issued by the 96th District Court on Monday and Tuesday.

Jamison Fisk, 29, was arrested on a parole detainer and lodged at the Marquette County Jail on Monday prior to the issued arrest warrants.

Marquette Police Department detectives, with the assistance of officers from the Ishpeming Police Department, executed a search warrant that day at a residence in the 600 block of East Street in Ishpeming. A stolen cellular device, reported missing from the 300 block of Pine Street in the city of Marquette on Oct. 14, was located inside the Ishpeming residence.

Further investigation of the cell phone theft led to the location of the device in the Ishpmeing residence, where detectives also observed tools matching the description of items stolen from a construction jobsite in the 400 block of East Ridge Street in the city of Marquette during the weekend of Oct. 11. After obtaining an additional search warrant to specifically search for the stolen tools referenced in that incident, multiple stolen items were recovered.

The arrest warrants for Fisk were issued on the following charges:

≤ Larceny in a building – four year felony

≤ Stolen property – receiving and concealing $200 to $1,000 – one year misdemeanor

≤ Larceny $200 to $1,000 – one year misdemeanor

≤ Stolen property – receiving and concealing $200 to $1,000 – one year misdemeanor

Total bond for the four charges is $11,000 cash/surety.
