Community breakfast raises money for local causes

ISHPEMING — The Ray Leverton Annual Community Breakfast Fundraiser, hosted by the Ishpeming Noon Kiwanis Club, will take place in October.
Money from the event will go toward community projects such as the Ray Leverton Memorial Playground at the Lake Bancroft Pavilion, the Ishpeming Carnegie Public Library’s summer reading program, Bay Cliff Health Camp, and additional local children’s programs.
Breakfast being served includes Italian eggs, scrambled eggs, ham, sausage, hash browns, pancakes, toast, coffee and orange juice.
A 50/50 raffle will also be held during the event.
Tickets for adults are $12, children ages 5 to 12 are $5, and children under 5 get in for free.
The event takes place from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Sunday Oct. 13, at KD Hall in St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church located at 325 S. Pine St. in Ishpeming.
