Bids for 2024-25 winter snow removal sought

MARQUETTE — Alger-Marquette Community Action Board is now accepting bids for snow plowing, snow removal and de-icing services for the 2024-25 winter season at several of its facilities located in Marquette County.

The selected contractor(s) will be responsible for providing snow removal, plowing and de-icing services at the following AMCAB locations:

≤ 1125 Commerce Drive, Marquette

≤ 275 Lost Creek Drive, Marquette

≤ 704 Greenwood St., Ishpeming

≤ 205 Ventura St., Gwinn

≤ 1910 Werner St., Marquette

According to a press release from AMCAB officials, these services are crucial to maintaining safe access to its facilities during the winter months. Snow removal and de-icing must be completed by 6:30 a.m. each weekday, ensuring clear driveways, walkways, entrances and parking lots for staff and visitors.

In the event of heavy snowfall of six inches or more, contractors may be required to return for additional clearing.

Interested contractors may choose to provide proposals for one or more locations. Bids must be submitted in writing by 4:30 p.m. on Oct. 15.
