MARQUETTE — The Northern Michigan University Board of Trustees approved a three-year contract on Tuesday with the Police Officers Association of Michigan.

POAM members unanimously ratified the agreement on June 20.

The contract became effective July 1 and runs through June 30, 2027. Terms include a 2% wage increase plus a market adjustment in year one, a 2.75% increase in year two and a 2.5% increase in year three.

According to NMU Human Resources, there are 10 POAM members at Northern.
