Art ‘twofer’ coming up

Art on the Rocks will be held at Mattson Lower Harbor Park while the Outback Art Fair will be held at Shiras Park at Picnic Rocks.
Both events will take place from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday. On Sunday, Art on the Rocks will take place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., while OutBack Art Fair will take place from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
For those who work up an appetite browsing the art, Art on the Rocks will offer a number of vendors with options including pulled pork, vegan and vegetarian fare, brats, oven-fired pizza, pretzels, kettle corn, coffee, iced coffee and more.
Art on the Rocks will celebrate its 66th annual juried fine art show, featuring regional and national artists.

A wide variety of mediums are represented, including paintings, drawings, prints, ceramics, glass, sculpture, jewelry and more.
It’s a fabulous opportunity to not only see and buy some beautiful art pieces, but also to chat one-on-one with the artist and learn about their creative process.

Continue around on Lakeshore Drive from Mattson to Picnic Rocks to browse through Outback Arts Fair, where shoppers will find everything from crafts. books by local authors, whimsical garden art, paintings of wildlife, boats and other subjects, handmade jewelry and food.
“It’s such a pleasant area to visit, stroll, and sit a while on a bench in the shade,” said organizer Cindy Engle.
