MUNISING — A 49-year-old Marquette man was arrested on Feb. 23 after an undercover officer in Alger County posed as a 15-year-old female communicating on social media about intentions of engaging in sexual intercourse.

The suspect, David Grant Derouin, allegedly communicated interest and traveled to Alger County with alleged intentions of engaging in intercourse with a 15-year-old. When Derouin arrived at the predetermined location, he was immediately arrested by law enforcement.

He was arrested for engaging in child sexually abusive activity and using a computer in commission of a crime.

Derouin is currently in custody at the Alger County Jail awaiting his preliminary examination in the 93rd District Court in Munising.
