MARQUETTE -- One lucky Marquette resident won the keys to a new 2024 GMC Sierra 1500 pickup truck on Wednesday.
Barbara Grutt received her truck at a prize ceremony after being selected the grand prize winner in the Menards December 2023 sweepstakes promotion.
"It's always exciting for Menards to team up with a great vendor partner and offer an incredible sweepstakes prize," said Marquette Menards manager Daniel Staley. "It's even more amazing when the winner is a local (person) within our community. All of us at Menards are very excited to give this beautiful truck to Barbara."
Grutt said she has been entering Menards' monthly sweepstakes ever since the store came to Marquette.
"(This is) something that you always think happens to somebody else," she said. "Just takes patience."
Grutt was given the keys and was able to drive away the same day.
