NEGAUNEE -- Two drivers were left with injuries after a traffic accident in Negaunee on Wednesday.
Ishpeming resident Jesse Ramsey was traveling eastbound on U.S. 41 on the hill near Teal Lake before losing control on slushy road conditions and veering into the westbound lane. Ramsey's vehicle then struck a pickup truck head-on that was driven by Negaunee resident William Hill.
According to the Negaunee City Police Department, Ramsey's vehicle careened from the collision with the truck, back into the eastbound lane and struck another vehicle driven by Negaunee resident Justin Morrison.
Ramsey received multiple injuries due to the crash and was transported to UPHS-Marquette by ambulance for medical treatment, the Negaunee City Police Department said in a press release. Hill received minor injuries and sought his own medical treatment.
All vehicles involved were disabled and towed from the scene by Anttila's Towing of Ishpeming. Ramsey was found at fault for the accident and will be cited.
The Negaunee Police Department processed the scene and was assisted by Michigan State Police, Ishpeming City Police Department, Negaunee Fire Department, Bell EMS and Marquette County rescue units.
