BIG BAY -- One driver was transported to UP Health System-Marquette after he was injured in a crash in Powell Township over the weekend.
Marquette County Sheriff's Office deputies were dispatched to a personal injury rollover crash on Squaw Beach Road at midnight Sunday.
The driver was a 64-year-old Big Bay man who was traveling eastbound on Squaw Beach Road before losing control of his vehicle, which overturned and landed on its side, according to the sheriff's office press release.
No other vehicles or people were involved in the crash. The driver was taken by ambulance to UPHS -Marquette for serious but non-life-threatening injuries. Alcohol is believed to be a factor in the crash.
The crash remains under investigation.
The Marquette County Sheriff's Office was assisted by Powell Township Fire and EMS, UPHS EMS and Marquette Detailing.
