MARQUETTE–Up-and-coming Philadelphia-based musical artist Noah Richardson will perform at Northern Michigan University on Thursday.

The 23-year-old artist has been making music for three years after changing life courses from studying as a doctor to a musician. He describes his sound as indie and alternative pop.

“It honestly came from a combination of two of my loves…it wasn’t a clear path to the answer. I found a love for writing stories and poems and also a love for singing and performing. Songwriting is my way of happily marrying the two, as dysfunctional as they may be at times,” said Richardson in an interview with Clout.

Iridescence, a local four-piece, alternative pop-rock band, will also be featured at the concert. The group consists of co-founders Mackenzie Grace on bass and vocals, Audree Stephens on vocals and keys, Jake Tyler on guitar and Kent Brock on drums.

Thursday’s concert will take place in the Northern Center grand ballrooms. Doors open at 7:30 p.m. for Iridescence. Prior registration through the Hub is required; tickets are free for NMU students and $10 for the general public.
