ISHPEMING -- A new digital resource is available to Ishpeming Carnegie Public Library cardholders.
Comics Plus is a new digital resource at ICPL that allows readers of all ages to access thousands of digital comics, graphic novels and manga online or on the LibraryPass app free with a library card. Digital books are available simultaneously, according to ICPL, which means there are no holds, long wait times or borrowing limits. Cardholders can locate the book online and start reading.
Library cards for the Ishpeming Carnegie Public Library are available for free to residents living within the city of Ishpeming and surrounding townships including Champion, Ely, Humboldt, Ishpeming and Tilden townships. Negaunee residents with a Negaunee library card are eligible to sign up for an Ishpeming card as well.
With a library card, cardholders will be able to access Comics Plus, in addition to other library resources.
"Comics Plus is a way for us to keep up with the demand for graphic novels and comics in our library -- especially for kids," Nicole Johnson, librarian at ICPL, said in a press release. "Graphic novels and comics are so popular, and Comics Plus will allow the library to have more available to readers at all times."
