NMU set to hold Halloween concert, costume contest

MARQUETTE — Get into the Halloween mood at Northern Michigan University with its upcoming weekend concert.

NMU’s student organization, Northern Michigan Artist Discovery, will host Spooky Mansion, a surf soul rock ‘n roll band based in Los Angeles.

Local indie band Passed Out, Curbside. will open for Spooky Mansion alongside an up-and-coming duo from Detroit, Aint Afraid.

Musical performances will take place from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m. Saturday in the Northern Center Grand Ballroom.

A costume contest will also be held. All attendees are encouraged to be creative and come dressed up.

Admission to the event is $10 for the public or free with an NMU student ID. Limited spots are available. Register on thehub.nmu.edu to reserve a seat.
