ISHPEMING -- Free COVID-19 test kits are available for the public at the Ishpeming Carnegie Public Library.
ICPL is partnering with the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services to provide better access to COVID-19 test kits within the community. According to a press release from ICPL, MDHHS provides free test kits to libraries throughout Michigan and ICPL is joining efforts as a distribution site.
"Anyone can stop in to pick up free test kits during the library's open hours," ICPL said in a press release. "Tests are limited and available on a first come, first served basis. Patrons are asked to take one kit per person, up to five per household. Simply come to the front desk of the library to pick up the test kits you need."
ICPL asks that if you are feeling unwell to call the library ahead of time to arrange a curbside pickup for test kits.
The library is closed on Sundays and Mondays and open Tuesdays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Wednesdays and Thursdays from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
