Ishpeming man arraigned for road rage incident

MARQUETTE — Jonathan Jay Bluebird, 29, who is accused of chasing down and stabbing an out-of-state driver on Thursday, was lodged in the Marquette County Jail after being arraigned on Thursday on a charge of assault with intent to do great bodily harm less than murder.
According to a city of Ishpeming press release, a 41-year-old man from out of state was stabbed following a road rage incident at approximately 2:57 a.m. Thursday at the area of Division and Main streets.
The victim had nonlife-threatening injuries that were treated by EMS on the scene before he was released.
The victim had been chased down by a vehicle with three individuals and confronted at the area of Division and Main.
Bluebird was arrested on scene and subsequently jailed.
Bluebird’s bond was set at $25,000 cash or surety bond. A probable cause conference was set for July 27 in the 96th District Court while a preliminary examination was scheduled for Aug. 3.
