Ishpeming Historic Places Tour set for Sunday

ISHPEMING -- The Ishpeming Area Historical Society's 2023 Ishpeming Historic Places Tour will be held from noon to 4 p.m. Sunday with the last tour leaving at 3:30 p.m. at the historic Mather Inn and Bethel Lutheran Church.
The tours give attendees the chance not only to learn more local history but to support the historical society. Tickets are a $10 donation that will go back to support the nonprofit and will be available at either location on the day of the tour or in advance at the Main Street Antique Mall in downtown Ishpeming.
The fundraiser will have an extensive tour and behind-the-scenes look at the historic Mather Inn. Attendees will see back passageways, the kitchen, multiple apartments and more.
Two blocks southeast from the inn, attendees can enjoy refreshments and learn the history of Bethel Lutheran.
The historical society said tours run for 30 minutes and attendees can come at their convenience.
The Mather is located at 107 E. Canda St. and Bethel Lutheran is located at 333 E. Ridge St.
