ISHPEMING -- A roof leak from Monday's storm resulted in damages to Ishpeming High School's library.
Ishpeming Public Schools Superintendent Carrie Meyer said roof leaks have happened in the past but not to the extent of this one.
"There was water dripping onto the circulation desk in the library," Meyer said. "There was damage to the circulation desk, desk computer, a couple of books and the flooring."
Meyer said the school was able to get the roof fixed with insurance.
"Maintenance did what they could to suck up excess water and contain it," Meyer said.
Meyer said the high school is scheduled with Cross General Contracting to replace the roof this coming summer so there will not be any further issues.
