MARQUETTE — The Marquette County Health Department will offer an updated COVID-19 booster this week.

MCHD announced Tuesday that it has appointments available for both Pfizer and Moderna boosters.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommends the updated vaccine for anyone 12 years and older who has already completed their primary series of the vaccine.

Local pharmacies and providers may stock the COVID vaccine. A list of pharmacies can be found on the health department website, mqthealth.org.

Health officials recommend the vaccine at least two months after the second dose of the primary vaccine series.
