MARQUETTE — The inaugural Camp Cannabis festival is slated to take place Oct. 7-8 at Marquette’s Tourist Park.

Camp Cannabis will feature a full lineup of music from well-known national and regional artists, with more than 40 in total appearing throughout the weekend across multiple stages. The headliners at the festival include Sublime with Rome, the Floozies and Afroman.

The festival marks the Upper Peninsula’s largest-ever cannabis consumption event and includes more than a dozen educational sessions while featuring more than 60 unique vendors.

Camp Cannabis is being put on by The Fire Station Cannabis Co., a family-owned U.P. business that has seven locations throughout the U.P., including locations in Marquette, Negaunee and Munising, with an Ishpeming location planned to open in the coming months.

“Offering attendees more options to come and experience the festival is something we’re excited about,” said The Fire Station’s co-owners Logan Stauber and Stosh Wasik in a joint press release. “We hope that even if guests can’t join us for the weekend, that they will be able to come and enjoy themselves for at least one of the days of the festival.”

Tickets for the festival are currently on sale for purchase online, with weekend passes costing $150 and day passes $75. Day passes will cost $90 when purchased the day of the event.

Day pass sales launch this weekend with a Battle of the Bands competition taking place today at DIGS City Beach in downtown Marquette.

The Battle of the Bands event takes place from 7 to 10 p.m. with bands earning spots during the Camp Cannabis festival itself.

Tickets can be purchased online at www.thefirestation.com/camp-cannabis. More information can be found on the Camp Cannabis Facebook page.
