Prosecutor’s office: Sting operation findings to be released
MARQUETTE — Several law enforcement agencies recently conducted a “joint undercover sting operation to combat human trafficking and child prostitution in the Upper Peninsula,” the Marquette County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office announced Friday night.
“The operation was an astounding success,” officials said in the announcement.
The agencies involved included the Marquette County Sheriff’s Office, the Marquette Police Department, the Michigan State Police, the Upper Peninsula Substance Enforcement Team and the Genesee County Sheriff’s Office, according to the prosecutor’s office.
The prosecutor’s office said it plans to release full details next week.
