MARQUETTE — Marquette County Sheriff Greg Zyburt said extra precautions are to take place today, Inauguration Day, for added security around the county courthouse in Marquette.

He said jail and court staff will have extra patrols, including checking the outside perimeter and performing interior walk-throughs.

Zyburt said on Tuesday that staff had not heard of any planned protests, but still were adding safety measures.
