Two suspects in custody after shooting

MENOMINEE — Two suspects have been taken into custody following a shooting in Menominee on Monday.

The Menominee City Police Department reported that at around 12:10 a.m. Monday, officers were dispatched to a residence located in the 1300 block of 30th Avenue for a complaint of shots fired.

Upon arriving at the residence, it was determined that the resident of the address was shot during an alleged illegal narcotics transaction.

After the shooting, two suspects fled the scene on foot and later in a vehicle.

An investigation started immediately, and the two suspects were later taken into custody in Oconto, Wisconsin.

The victim was taken to Aurora Medical Center Bay Area in Marinette, Wisconsin, where he was treated for a non-life-threatening gunshot wound.

The Menominee Police Department was assisted by the Michigan State Police, Menominee County Sheriff’s Office, Marinette City Police Department, Oconto Police Department, Menominee Fire Department and the Aurora Medical Center Bay Area EMS.
