ISHPEMING — Police have identified the woman’s body found in a lake off of Excelsior Street in Ishpeming on Friday as Lacie Borchert, 25.

An autopsy was completed today and while “nothing suspicious was found,” no cause of death has officially been determined, according to an Ishpeming Police Department press release.

Investigators are awaiting toxicology results, police said.

The IPD investigation is continuing and investigators will release more information as it becomes available, the release states.

Officials are asking anyone who had any contact with Borchert recently to call the IPD at 906-486-4416.

Borchert was last seen at her residence at 3 a.m. Friday. A vehicle she was known to drive was found in a ditch off of Excelsior Street at around 5:45 p.m. that day.
