Clearing early snow

The National Weather Service Office in Negaunee Township recorded 8.3 inches of snow on Sunday, eclipsing the previous 3.1-inch snowfall record set in 1976. The total snowfall at the NWS office in October has been 19.2 inches, which breaks a 1979 record of 18.6 inches. Over the next week, NWS predicts nightime temperatures as low as 15 degrees in Negaunee Township area with daytime highs expected to range from 32 degrees to 46 degrees, according to the NWS website.
