Feathered friends pay a visit to Norlite

Bob Jensen, foreground, and Jerry Maynard, co-founders of the Harvey-based Chocolay Raptor Center, visit Norlite Nursing Center on Monday with “window visits” to residents. Jensen holds Erik, a red-tailed hawk, while Maynard holds Phoenix, a peregrine falcon. Both birds are permanent residents of the center. The visits took place in this manner due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Norlite, which was the site of a local outbreak, recently said the facility now is free of COVID-19.
