The Marquette Maritime Museum held a sunset lighthouse tour on Thursday in Marquette. The maritime musuem is celebrating its 35th anniversary. The museum has been hosting lighthouse tours for years with good turnouts. The lighthouse is the second lighthouse at the current location and was built in 1866. The U.S. Coast Guard controls and maintains the lighthouse. The city has owned the lighthouse property since 2016 and is working on restoring and fixing up the grounds for public use.
