Student concert at NMU is study in sublime

Music major Andrew Jessen plays “Prelude No. 22 in G minor” by Frederic Chopin during the second student concert of the semester Tuesday evening at Reynolds Recital Hall on Northern Michigan University’s campus. “The student concert series is a chance for our students to get some practice performing, one piece, before they get to their senior recital where they have to play a whole recital by themselves,” music department professor Nancy Zimmerman, Ph.D., explained. This event was presented to the public at no charge. For more information on the next student concert and a list of music department events visit www.nmu.edu/music/upcomingevents.
