Marquette – Heavy Lake-effect blowing snow causing zero visibility has prompted the Michigan State Police to close M-28.

Traffic is not allowed on M-28 between Kawbawgam Road in Chocolay Township and Munising.

The Alternate Route Is M-94 Between Munising And U.S. 41 South in Skandia Township.

In addition, U.S. 41 between Marquette And Harvey is experiencing frequent zero visibility white-outs due to heavy lake-effect blowing snow. The alternate route of M-553 to County Road 480 is recommended.
