MARQUETTE — Marquette Area Public Schools has announced its 6-12 Teacher of the Year, Elementary Teacher of the Year and Support Staff of the Year awards.

The 6-12 Teacher of the Year is Tom Seeke, a math teacher at Marquette Senior High School.

The Elementary Teacher of the Year is Nicole Heidtman, an early childhood special education teacher at Superior Hills.

The Support Staff Person of the Year is Jennifer Snyder, an instructional program aide at Marquette Senior High School.

Each recipient will receive a $750 award, a plaque honoring this recognition and their name permanently displayed on the MAPS website at mapsnet.org under Teacher and Staff Recognition.

The recipients, along with retirees from the last year, at 5 p.m. June 3 p.m. on the high school football field.
