NEGAUNEE — On Wednesday, Negaunee Public Works Department will begin flushing the water and hydrant systems in the city of Negaunee, from 7 a.m – 3 p.m., over a period of up to four weeks. The job will begin starting south of Negaunee and progress north of U.S. 41.

City of Negaunee officials inform the public, “If your water appears discolored it is recommended that you give it a few hours to clear up then run your cold water faucet for a few minutes to ensure the sediment is cleared. The city recommends water customers avoid washing laundry during the period the hydrants are flushed in their neighborhood.”
