MARQUETTE — The North Country Trail Association is involved in this year’s GivingTuesday, which was created in 2012 as a day that encourages people to do good on the Tuesday after Thanksgiving.

On Giving Tuesday in 2019, the NCTA community raised more than $70,000, and with a match from a donor, a total of $91,000 was raised in one day for the North Country National Scenic Trail.

On Tuesday, the North Country Trail Association has 24 hours to raise $25,000 to meet this challenge. Together, a gift and a match can be $50,000 to ensure its Hike 100 Challenge continues to challenge hikers and bring new members to the association.
