October youth offerings at PWPL

MARQUETTE — Peter White Public Library has announced its October youth offerings:

Thursday, Oct. 1: Take & Make Kit Pickup

4-6 p.m. Peter White Public Library parking lot, under the white tent. Make a Jack-o-Lantern Jar with our October Take & Make Activity Kits. For youth ages 4-12. No registration for this program, kits are available first come, first serve. Any leftover kits will be available to pick-up in the Youth Services room after Oct. 1 during PWPL’s open to public hours. If you do not want to come into the building, just call us and we will run one out to you. No admission charge. Tuesdays Oct. 6, 13, 20 and 27: A Journey Abroad-Virtual Book Club: To the Copper County

2-3 p.m. Zoom. PWPL Youth Services is doing a virtual book club as part of the Two Books, Two Communities program. For all school-aged children. Registration required. At each meeting, we will read the book aloud, have some discussion and finish up with Copper Country activities and crafts. Copies of the book will be provided for each family. Special guest presenter on Oct. 20, author Barbara Carney-Coston will join us for a Zoom meeting. No admission charge. Tuesdays and Wednesdays Oct. 20, 21, 27, 28: Toddler Storytime: Facebook Live

10:15 -10:45 a.m. Peter White Public Library Youth Services Facebook Live. Join in for Toddler Storytime on Facebook Live this fall. Tuesdays and Wednesday at 10:15 a.m., this storytime is geared toward children 36 months and younger and a loving adult. We will read stories, sing songs, learn new rhymes and fingerplays. This storytime will not be available as a recording, so you will need to watch it live.
