‘The Wicked Sister’ discussion

MARQUETTE — Join Karen Dionne for a book club discussion of her newest novel, “The Wicked Sister,” at 2 p.m. Friday via Zoom, hosted by the Peter White Public Library.

“The Wicked Sister,” set in the Upper Peninsula, takes a look at mental illness and psychopathy. Believing that she killed her parents at the age of 11, Rachel Cunningham has chosen to remain in a psychiatric facility. But when she learns new details of the murder, she checks herself out and decides to return to her family home, now occupied by her aunt and older sister, to see if she can figure out what has really happened.

Dionne, author of this psychological thriller, is also the author of “The Marsh King’s Daughter,” chosen as a Michigan Notable selection. In a PWPL news release, she said: “I absolutely LOVE meeting with book clubs. Hanging out with smart, intelligent readers and hearing your insights on my novel while observing the respect and friendship and fondness you have for each other is a real privilege, and it’s an honor to be invited into your homes.”

Anyone interested in talking to Dionne about her book should register with Carolyn McManis at cmcmanis@uproc.lib.mi.us, to be sent a Zoom invite.

There is no admission fee to attend. For more information, visit www.pwpl.info or call 226-4318.
