NEGAUNEE — The National Weather Service in Negaunee Township is collecting photos of landscapes, weather, sunsets, sunrises or other such Upper Peninsula-related images taken this past winter and spring for its photography contest.

The deadline to submit photos is 11:59 p.m. Wednesday. Voting via Facebook will begin on Thursday and continue through 10 p.m. Saturday.

People with photos to enter are to comment on the NWS-Marquette Facebook page with the location it was taken and the photographer’s name.

There must be no recognizable faces or people and no business logos. NWS-Marquette staff retains the right to dismiss certain photos. NWS-Marquette also will have permission to use the images in weather-related graphics or presentations.
