LSCP gets new data research tool

MARQUETTE — The Lake Superior Community Partnership recently acquired a new data research tool.

The EMSI Workforce Insight Tool can assist businesses in finding alumni of colleges and universities who have left the area, view specific profiles that match hiring criteria and see where it’s best to target talent attraction efforts.

The tool uses data from over 100 million online worker profiles by job title, company, school, skill sets and more. With the help of this tool, businesses can better fill positions by determining where to target recruiting efforts for specific occupations using alumni data and cost-of-living adjusted wages.

The tool is a segment of the Economic Modeling Specialists Inc. labor market analytics database.
