MANISTIQUE — mBank recently announced the hiring of Josh Bal as assistant vice president, mortgage loan officer, located in Marquette.

Bal has more than nine years of experience in the banking industry, with five of those years spent in mortgage lending, as well as holding positions in commercial lending and personal banking. He is a graduate of Northern Michigan University with a bachelor’s degree in marketing.

Bal is an active member of his community and currently serves on the board for the Home Builders Association of the Upper Peninsula, and most recently served as immediate past president. He is a member of the planning committee for the Hope Starts Here Challenge, a race that raises funds for the Upper Michigan Brain Tumor Center. He is also a hockey coach for the Marquette Junior Hockey Association and has coached soccer. In his spare time, he enjoys playing hockey, fishing and spending time with his family.
