ISHPEMING -- Due to inclement weather, the Westwood High School homecoming parade that was scheduled for tonight has been canceled.
"The weather isn’t going to cooperate and we have decided to unfortunately cancel the parade," organizers said.
As of 9 a.m. Friday, the homecoming game will still take place.
“We know this is disappointing, especially after all the time and effort that has gone into preparing for the parade,” reads a Facebook post from NICE Community Schools. “We appreciate everyone's understanding and hope everyone still has a great homecoming.”
The Mining Journal will update this post as details become available.
