On a recent ride around town, we noticed new signs going up at the Holiday gas stations. I thought this was a nice one with the American flag flying next to the Circle K sign. This particular station in Wetmore had quite a few snowmobiles filling up just a few days ago but about the time this column is featured next week we may see grass again. At top, Just happened to come across a Mackinac Island school bus parked in front of Mather Elementary in Munising recently and assumed there may be a basketball game going on in the old gymnasium. It’s fun to feed the ducks at the Anna River outlet, just past the paper mill in Munising. In a matter of minutes, roughly 200 ducks come chasing for the feed. We even saw a few fishermen on the thin ice out there recently taking some chances and hopefully catching some fish. (Photo courtesy of Mary Jayne Hallifax)
